30 days after Passover…

My friends, God has made us these promises. So we should stay away from everything that keeps our bodies and spirits from being clean. We should honor God and try to be completely like him.–2 Corinthians 7:1

The Lord’s question for me on Sunday was, “Who do you say that I am?” I’ve delved as much as I could about this phrase and I know its in the gospels, Mark 8:29, Mathew 16:15 & Luke 9:20. My struggles in the last few months have been to do His will. Trying to be holy while making sacrifices and maintain a prayerful heart. The last few weeks though the Lord has been getting my attention that I am trying to do these things in my own power. Which in turn shows that I truly don’t trust or have faith in Him. I’ve felt so beat down with trying to do His will that I would become impatient, angry, annoyed and irritable. But this is the first time I truly delved in deeper. I knew that we are not saved by works but are made children of good works once we accept Jesus into our hearts. But then I read John 6:29-Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.” Jesus speaking to a crowd that was part of the 5,000 fed earlier. It’s just part of humanity for most people to want to return the favor when someone gives to you. I give myself and I suppose my heart wasn’t in total surrender to Jesus. Plus, I know myself and I can’t trust myself that when the tough gets going I will have the strength to keep going. Those are the days that I will need to grab the hem of Jesus’ robe. This is what I mean when we’re so used to operating in our own power. So it makes sense that Jesus is teaching me about the suffering and sacrifice on my part and that I will only be able to go on following Him with His power. And, what do you know the lessons on the radio have been all about when I get in the car. That once we believe, the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in our hearts, but many don’t realize that for the empowering of the Holy Spirit to work in our lives we need to obey. Another sore spot for us. We are so used to fulfilling what WE want. The title of one of the pastors book on the radio is “I want more”(by Dr. Robert Jeffress) and that’s essentially where I’m at.
May we have hearts that are willing to be made obedient and God willing, the gift of obedience, in Jesus name. Amen

There were a couple other messages from the radio and Still Small Voice (message for May 8, 2017) had a song about the road to Emmaus(Luke 24). What has stuck out about everything I’ve read and finally a few radio lessons on air this week was the fact that Jesus suffering and dying on the cross for the world’s sin and rising on the third day, eternally living on the right side of God the Father is a solid truth, not an emotional truth of my personal experience. No matter how often I’ve read this in church it is something I needed to hear and take in. I can see how the disciples presume and cannot see beyond earthly capabilities of our God. So finally Jesus reveals to His disciples the full understanding of what they were witnesses to. Jesus is strengthening my belief, faith and hope of what He has promised me and all who believe. The post subject is 30 days after Passover. Going to trust that Jesus will empower the Holy Spirit in me while I walk in this refreshing of faith, hope and belief. May we have the courage and boldness to actually take the step, in Jesus name, Amen.
“King of the World” by Natalie Grant.
I tried to fit you in the walls inside my mind
I try to keep you safely inbetween the lines
I try to put you in the box that I’ve designed
I try to pull you down so we are eye to eye

When did I forget that you’ve always been the king of the world?
I try to take life back right out of the hands of the king of the world
How could I make you so small
When you’re the one who holds it all
When did I forget that you’ve always been the king of the world

Just a whisper of your voice can tame the seas
So who am I to try to take the lead
Still I run ahead and think I’m strong enough
When you’re the one who made me from the dust

When did I forget that you’ve always been the king of the world?
I try to take life back right out of the hands of the king of the world
How could I make you so small
When you’re the one who holds it all
When did I forget that you’ve always been the king of the world

Ohhhh, you set it all in motion
Every single moment
You brought it all to be
And you’re holding on to me

When did I forget that you’ve always been the king of the world?
I try to take life back right out of the hands of the king of the world
How could I make you so small
When you’re the one who holds it all
When did I forget you’ve always been the king of the world
You will always be the king of the world

Habakkuk 1,2 & 3 – Zephaniah 1,2 & 3

Habakkuk 1
1 This is the message that the prophet Habakkuk received in a vision. Habakkuk’s Complaint 2 How long, O Lord, must I call for help? But you do not listen! “Violence is everywhere!” I cry, but you do not come to save.
3 Must I forever see these evil deeds? Why must I watch all this misery?
Wherever I look, I see destruction and violence. I am surrounded by people
who love to argue and fight. 4 The law has become paralyzed, and there is no justice in the courts. The wicked far outnumber the righteous, so that justice has become perverted. The Lord’s Reply 5 The Lord replied, “Look around at the nations; look and be amazed! For I am doing something in your own day,
something you wouldn’t believe even if someone told you about it. 6 I am raising up the Babylonians, a cruel and violent people. They will march across the world and conquer other lands. 7 They are notorious for their cruelty and do whatever they like. 8 Their horses are swifter than cheetahs and fiercer than wolves at dusk. Their charioteers charge from far away. Like eagles, they swoop down to devour their prey. 9 “On they come, all bent on violence. Their hordes advance like a desert wind, sweeping captives ahead of them like sand. 10 They scoff at kings and princes and scorn all their fortresses. They simply pile ramps of earth against their walls and capture them! 11 They sweep past like the wind and are gone. But they are deeply guilty, for their own strength is their god.” Habakkuk’s Second Complaint 12 O Lord my God, my Holy One, you who are eternal—surely you do not plan to wipe us out? Lord, our Rock, you have sent these Babylonians to correct us, to punish us for our many sins. 13 But you are pure and cannot stand the sight of evil. Will you wink at their treachery? Should you be silent while the wicked swallow up people more righteous than they? 14 Are we only fish to be caught and killed?
Are we only sea creatures that have no leader? 15 Must we be strung up on their hooks and caught in their nets while they rejoice and celebrate? 16 Then they will worship their nets and burn incense in front of them. “These nets are the gods who have made us rich!” they will claim. 17 Will you let them get away with this forever? Will they succeed forever in their heartless conquests?
Habakkuk 2
1 I will climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guardpost. There I will wait to see what the Lord says and how hea will answer my complaint.
The Lord’s Second Reply 2 Then the Lord said to me, “Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. 3 This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed. 4 “Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God. 5 Wealth is treacherous, and the arrogant are never at rest. They open their mouths as wide as the grave, and like death, they are never satisfied. In their greed they have gathered up many nations and swallowed many peoples. 6 “But soon their captives will taunt them. They will mock them, saying, ‘What sorrow awaits you thieves! Now you will get what you deserve! You’ve become rich by extortion, but how much longer can this go on?’ 7 Suddenly, your debtors will take action. They will turn on you and take all you have, while you stand trembling and helpless. 8 Because you have plundered many nations, now all the survivors will plunder you. You committed murder throughout the countryside and filled the towns with violence. 9 “What sorrow awaits you who build big houses with money gained dishonestly! You believe your wealth will buy security, putting your family’s nest beyond the reach of danger.
10 But by the murders you committed, you have shamed your name and forfeited your lives. 11 The very stones in the walls cry out against you,
and the beams in the ceilings echo the complaint. 12 “What sorrow awaits you who build cities with money gained through murder and corruption!
13 Has not the Lord of Heaven’s Armies promised that the wealth of nations will turn to ashes? They work so hard, but all in vain! 14 For as the waters fill the sea, the earth will be filled with an awareness of the glory of the Lord.
15 “What sorrow awaits you who make your neighbors drunk! You force your cup on them so you can gloat over their shameful nakedness. 16 But soon it will be your turn to be disgraced. Come, drink and be exposed! Drink from the cup of the Lord’s judgment, and all your glory will be turned to shame. 17 You cut down the forests of Lebanon. Now you will be cut down. You destroyed the wild animals, so now their terror will be yours. You committed murder throughout the countryside and filled the towns with violence. 18 “What good is an idol carved by man, or a cast image that deceives you? How foolish to trust in your own creation—a god that can’t even talk! 19 What sorrow awaits you who say to wooden idols, ‘Wake up and save us!’ To speechless stone images you say, ‘Rise up and teach us!’ Can an idol tell you what to do? They may be overlaid with gold and silver, but they are lifeless inside. 20 But the Lord is in his holy Temple. Let all the earth be silent before him.”
Habakkuk 3
Habakkuk’s Prayer 1 This prayer was sung by the prophet Habakkuk:
2 I have heard all about you, Lord. I am filled with awe by your amazing works.
In this time of our deep need, help us again as you did in years gone by. And in your anger, remember your mercy.
3 I see God moving across the deserts from Edom, the Holy One coming from Mount Paran. His brilliant splendor fills the heavens, and the earth is filled with his praise. 4 His coming is as brilliant as the sunrise. Rays of light flash from his hands, where his awesome power is hidden. 5 Pestilence marches before him; plague follows close behind.
6 When he stops, the earth shakes. When he looks, the nations tremble. He shatters the everlasting mountains and levels the eternal hills. He is the Eternal One! 7 I see the people of Cushan in distress, and the nation of Midian trembling in terror. 8 Was it in anger, Lord, that you struck the rivers and parted the sea? Were you displeased with them? No, you were sending your chariots of salvation! 9 You brandished your bow and your quiver of arrows.
You split open the earth with flowing rivers. 10 The mountains watched and trembled. Onward swept the raging waters. The mighty deep cried out, lifting its hands to the Lord. 11 The sun and moon stood still in the sky as your brilliant arrows flew and your glittering spear flashed. 12 You marched across the land in anger and trampled the nations in your fury. 13 You went out to rescue your chosen people, to save your anointed ones. You crushed the heads of the wicked and stripped their bones from head to toe. 14 With his own weapons, you destroyed the chief of those who rushed out like a whirlwind,
thinking Israel would be easy prey. 15 You trampled the sea with your horses,
and the mighty waters piled high. 16 I trembled inside when I heard this;
my lips quivered with fear. My legs gave way beneath me, and I shook in terror. I will wait quietly for the coming day when disaster will strike the people who invade us. 17 Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, 18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! 19 The Sovereign Lord is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights.

SO HAPPY TOGETHER, By The Turtles

Imagine me and you, I do
I think about you day and night
It’s only right
To think about the girl you love
And hold her tight
So happy together

If I should call you up, invest a dime
And you say you belong to me
And ease my mind
Imagine how the world could be
So very fine
So happy together

I can’t see me lovin’ nobody but you for all my life
When you’re with me, baby, the skies will be blue for all my life

Me and you and you and me
No matter how they tossed the dice
It had to be
The only one for me is you
And you for me
So happy together

I can’t see me lovin’ nobody but you for all my life
When you’re with me, baby, the skies will be blue for all my life

Me and you and you and me
No matter how they tossed the dice
It had to be
The only one for me is you
And you for me
So happy together

Ba, ba-ba, ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba
Ba-ba-ba-ba-ba
Ba, ba-ba, ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba
Ba-ba-ba-ba-ba

Me and you and you and me
No matter how they tossed the dice
It had to be
The only one for me is you
And you for me
So happy together

So happy together
And how is the weather?
So happy together
We’re happy together
So happy together
We’re happy together
So happy together
So happy together

**I received this song one night as I was prepping for bedtime. I had not heard it but maybe once in my life when my mom had on a 60’s station. So

“DO YOU HEAR WHAT I HEAR”

So we are like John the Baptist, making the way for the Lord…Do you hear what I hear?
Dec 16, 2015, early morning around 1:20am. I woke up from sleep and opened my eyes where the first thing I saw was a bright star shining through the almost bare trees. All I did for at least 30min was just lay there and watch it. It would go into view, then out and back. A few minutes into this I asked Jesus what do you want me to hear, if anything. So today he quickened in my heart the songs, Do you hear what I hear and We three Kings. I immediately knew it was about the star out the window. It’s so amazing too. That star was in the westerly direction. Many people are not aware that we are headed towards war and not coincidentally, with Russia. For which this song was written about during the Cuban Missile Crisis, between the U.S. and Russia. A song meant for ALL people to pray for peace no matter what their religion.

Said the night wind to the little lamb,
“Do you see what I see?
Way up in the sky, little lamb,
Do you see what I see?
A star, a star, dancing in the night
With a tail as big as a kite,
With a tail as big as a kite.”

Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy,
“Do you hear what I hear?
Ringing through the sky, shepherd boy,
Do you hear what I hear?
A song, a song high above the trees
With a voice as big as the sea,
With a voice as big as the sea.”

Said the shepherd boy to the mighty king,
“Do you know what I know?
In your palace walls, mighty king,
Do you know what I know?
A Child, a Child shivers in the cold–
Let us bring him silver and gold,
Let us bring him silver and gold.”

Said the king to the people everywhere,
“Listen to what I say!
Pray for peace, people, everywhere,
Listen to what I say!
The Child, the Child sleeping in the night
He will bring us goodness and light,
He will bring us goodness and light

We three kings of Orient are
Bearing gifts we traverse afar
Field and fountain, moor and mountain
Following yonder star

O Star of wonder, star of night
Star with royal beauty bright
Westward leading, still proceeding
Guide us to thy Perfect Light

Born a King on Bethlehem’s plain
Gold I bring to crown Him again
King forever, ceasing never
Over us all to reign

O Star of wonder, star of night
Star with royal beauty bright
Westward leading, still proceeding
Guide us to Thy perfect light

Frankincense to offer have I
Incense owns a Deity nigh
Prayer and praising, all men raising
Worship Him, God most high

O Star of wonder, star of night
Star with royal beauty bright
Westward leading, still proceeding
Guide us to Thy perfect light

Myrrh is mine, its bitter perfume
Breathes of life of gathering gloom
Sorrowing, sighing, bleeding, dying
Sealed in the stone-cold tomb

O Star of wonder, star of night
Star with royal beauty bright
Westward leading, still proceeding
Guide us to Thy perfect light

Glorious now behold Him arise
King and God and Sacrifice
Alleluia, Alleluia
Earth to heav’n replies

O Star of wonder, star of night
Star with royal beauty bright
Westward leading, still proceeding
Guide us to Thy perfect light

We’re leaving together,
But still it’s farewell
And maybe we’ll come back
To earth, who can tell?
I guess there is no one to blame
We’re leaving ground (leaving ground)
Will things ever be the same again?
It’s the final countdown
The final countdown
Oh, We’re heading for Venus (Venus)
And still we stand tall
‘Cause maybe they’ve seen us (seen us)
And welcome us all, yeah
With so many light years to go
And things to be found (to be found)
I’m sure that we’ll all miss her so
It’s the final countdown
The final countdown
The final countdown
The final countdown
Oh, The final countdown, oh
It’s the final count down
The final countdown
The final countdown
The final countdown
Oh, It’s the final count down
We’re leaving together
The final count down
We’ll all miss her so
It’s the final countdown
It’s the final countdown
Oh, It’s the final countdown, yeah

My mind has been on the recent message, from Still Small Voice channel, about the Dome of the Rock. When I hear this song Jesus reminds me that the rapture will be happening soon. And the line “We’ll all miss her so,” is the bride of Christ raptured. I went to my index cards for a remah from Jesus to get a confirmation about these to share. My Confirmations were in this order. Proverbs 15:29 and Ephesians 3:20,21.

4/27/17- Since this post I’ve come to realize that Jesus and I were about to get on that road o’er field and fountain, moor and mountain, as in the words to the song, for spiritual growth as a “baby Christian.” With prayers, falling, getting back up and praises. One night a few months ago I dreamed I was flying over a forest, a stream, and road out in a wilderness setting with the moon lighting the landscape. Over and over I said, “Jesus Reigns,” while soaring high and low with such joy in my heart (not sure what that was about but I’ll look over notes from the last few months to see what Jesus and I were going through). I suppose I knew that no matter what happened Jesus reigned in my heart; that He would keep me by the river of life and provide my daily bread, as I walked on the road of life.

The first months of this year I felt such a spirit of death around me. Much of the listeners of the Still Small Voice channel are spiritually attacked because of Jesus teaching those that listen and believe how to fight the Devil. Jesus had warned us beforehand and though I proceeded with caution for the most part, it was the subtlety of the devil that is dangerous. I left the channel for awhile out of distraction after distraction and then guilt grew within me to the point I put listening in to the messages off. I tried to worship in quiet times in the car and prayed as much as I could. Some days I forgot to pray. Then I realized I was operating in my own power. My prayers were not to give me “Your” strength. Jesus delivered me of these spiritual attacks and others on the channel. This feeling of death was so obvious to my spirit that if someone within my household were to die, I immediately told God I accept Your Will no matter what. On the other hand, I also felt it maybe a death of my old self before meeting God, a let-go of past pain and loss, and going through the process of spiritual cleansing and healing. Forgiveness of myself for the things I did to hurt myself. Finally, a sense of freedom from the pain and guilt I’ve carried thus far. I understand there will always be growth and understanding. It’s just so fulfilling to know that all is under Jesus’ care and truly know that there is a deeper actual relationship being built. As each day goes by there is always the thought in my mind on what the lesson is and hoping I get it. There is so much dimension and dynamics to God’s ways.

The lyrics to the song, Do You Hear What I Hear, still holds true today. Many more are aware of the state of our country. It brings to mind I Thessalonians 5:3 The Day of the Lord
…2For you are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3While people are saying, “Peace and security,” destruction will come upon them suddenly, like labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. 4But you, brothers, are not in the darkness so that this day should overtake you like a thief.…
And, here a link to an update about these times we’re in. http://www.prophecyupdate.com/peace-and-safety-then-sudden-destruction.html We are in the Final Countdown. It will be such a surprise to all that we are attacked on our own soil, the United States of America.
